BISSET (Embo/Dornoch) - Very suddenly, in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on Monday, 6th September, 2021, Gary Peter Bisset, aged 51 years, 'Springwell Cottage', 2 Hall Street, Embo (Menzies delivery driver) dearly loved partner of Nancy, much loved father to Siobhan and Jake, loving son of Peter and Heather and a dear friend and work colleague to many. FYFE - Margaret Campbell (Wilson) of 7 Gordon Street, Dunoon, formerly of Brora and Paisley, passed suddenly on Saturday, 28th August, 2021, dancing with family, doing what she loved. Beloved partner of Jim, much loved mother to Craig and Kerrie, dear sister to Sheila and Ian; adored and adoring granny to Caitlin, Jamie and Aliyah, and friend to so many, many people.
DISMORE (Brora) - Peacefully, in the Cambusavie Unit, Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie, on Sunday, 5th September, 2021, Marion Nicolson Coghill, 6 Tarbat Crescent, Brora, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Toni, a much loved granma of Jack and Nixie and loved by all the extended family and friends. COWIE - Catherine (Cathy) Sutherland passed away peacefully at LHSC - Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada, on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, aged 74 years. Formerly of Helmsdale. Beloved partner and soulmate of the late Tim Roberts (2019) for 37 years. Sister of Karen Pirie and Alexander McDonald, sister-in-law of Terry Roberts, Colleen Roberts, and Jim Hanlon. Fondly remembered by her close family of David and Margaret Cowie, Billy (deceased) and Isobel Cowie, the late Tommy Cowie, as well as her cousins and extended family in Scotland. A special thanks to Michael Cowie (nephew) and his family for the support he has provided Catherine, especially over the last ten years when has had the opportunity to visit from Scotland. Catherine will be fondly remembered by her special friend, neighbour and carer, Janet Fairly. Predeceased by her mother, Annie McDonald, Chrissy and David Cowie (granny and grandpa who raised her), Iain McDonald (brother) and sister-in-law Linda Hanlon. Catherine worked originally in factories when arriving in Canada in 1967 and spent the majority of her life looking after the wellbeing of others in her role as a care-worker. She will be sadly missed. Keeping with Cathy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service was held at the Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan, Ontario on Friday, August 20th . GRANT - John Thomas (Toma), formerly Front Street, Embo and Glasgow, peacefully passed away at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, on 21st July, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Christina Grant (née MacLean), much loved father of Catherine and Alasdair, loving grandad and father-in-law. Interred in Lambhill Cemetery, Glasgow, on 5th August, 2021. LEE - Joan Sutherland (nee Cameron), sadly passed away at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Sunday, 8th August. Much loved wife to Frank, dear mum to Andrew and Fiona, mother-in-law to Louise and Joe and loving grandmother to Jess, Tom, Matt and Jack, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. DUDGEON - Mary Geary Dudgeon MBE (nee Wilson ), died peacefully on Friday, 6th August, 2021, aged 94 years. She will be sadly missed by her children, Michael, Clarinda, Antonia and Sally and her grandchildren Angus, Robin, Jessica, Alexander and Lydia. There will be a private cremation followed by a celebration of her life on Thursday, 26th August, at 1pm, at Timespan, Dunrobin Street, Helmsdale, to which all her friends are invited. COWIE - (nee Miller). Margaret Lena passed away, peacefully at home, on Tuesday, 3rd August, 2021, aged 71 years. Beloved wife of Alex Cowie for 54 years. Dearly loved mother to Carl, Steven, Evelyn, Eleanor, Esther, David and Miriam and treasured grandmother to Carron, Shannon, Miller, Gregor, Bryson, Daniel and Anna. Much loved sister to Robert "Rob" Miller. Lena brought up in Golspie, began her married life in Helmsdale, years later moved from Edinburgh to Bonar Bridge where, from 1981, she supported Alex in his ministry (Free Church) before finally moving to Glasgow in 1995. Committal service will take place at Helmsdale Cemetery today (Friday), 13th August, at 11.30am, friends and family welcome.
