Police are at the scene of a road traffic accident on the minor Struie road north of Alness.

Network Rail Scotland has warned that further serious railway disruption is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday after Storm Jocelyn arrives.

No train services are running this morning in Scotland until rail lines have been inspected as Storm Isha hit the UK.

'Several vehicles' have become stranded on the busy A9 trunk road due to heavy and drifting snow, Traffic Scotland has warned.

Police have urged motorists to take extra care, after heavy snow and drifting left some roads in such poor condition even ploughs have had trouble.
