The A836 will be closed at Lairg Railway Station later this month while a refit is carried out on the level crossing, Highland Council has warned.

A section of the road from the C1107 Torroble Road to C1066 Tomich Road will be shut from 9pm on April 21 until 6am on April 23.

A Highland Council spokesperson said: "This is for Network Rail to refit the rail crossing.

"A diversion will be available via A837 Invershin Road and A839 Lairg - Rosehall Road."
