Update given on usage of Dornoch South vehicle park

Dornoch Area Community Interest Company (DACIC) has updated its members on the usage of its Dornoch South coach park, which opened in June 2022.

In an email sent to supporters, it was stated that in the five and a half months from the beginning of April to September 13, some 442 coaches had parked at the park, disgorging 13,174 passengers.

Visitor co-ordinators are on hand at the vehicle park to greet coaches on days that cruise liners are in Invergordon.

The email revealed that 212 coffee/tea vouches had been distributed to drivers and guides during the period in question.

The £585,000 pay and display vehicle park opened in June last year and use of the site has gradually increased.

Four electric charging points are included and six dedicated motorhome spaces.
