Community councils in the wider area have been invited to send representatives and Communities B4 Power Companies will be represented, as well as other interested groups.
Pylon Pressure chairperson Ruth Whittaker said: "The meeting will be an opportunity to ask questions about proposals to build a new overhead 400KV line from Spittal to Beauly, which would have a direct impact on the Helmsdale area.
"Invitations will be delivered to all residents of Helmsdale and district residents, but the meeting is open to anyone interested in, or likely to be affected by, SSEN's proposals."
