The organisers of Lairg Winterfest have said the event on Saturday was a "huge success".

Lairg and District Community Initiatives (LDCI) put in a huge amount of effort and hard work to stage the annual Winterfest.

Reindeer from the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre are traditionally the star attraction, and in the opening parade, pull Santa and Mrs Claus in their sleigh from the bottom of Main Street to the Community Centre.

LDCI chairperson Kaye Hurrion thanked everyone who had supported Winterfest and contributed to make the event run smoothly.

She said: "Winterfest has become part of our community's calendar, and the 2023 event was another huge success.

"We cannot thank enough all those people who help to make it possible – the teams of volunteers, the groups that put on such wonderful events throughout the day, the companies that sponsored the event, and the all those who gave raffle prizes."
