The new boat was purchased thanks to a donation from Wildland Ltd, the company owned by Holch Povlsen. As a tribute to his generosity, the boat is being called Wildland.

The ceremony is being held at ESRA's £500,000 new lifeboat station at Dornoch beach, which was largely funded by the late Charles Cadogan, 8th Earl Cadogan.

A piper will play leading up to ESRA chairman Neil Dalton giving the welcome address, which will be followed by a prayer from Rev John Chambers and then the naming ceremony will be conducted by Deputy Lord-Lieutenant Kim Tulloch.
