Community councillors had intended to question Ms Kenmure over the two-year closure of the Strathy ward at Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge, as well as the closure of the Minor Injuries Unit at Golspie’s Lawson Memorial Hospital complex.

A spokeswoman for Creich Community Council said: “Kate Kenmure called off on Monday afternoon. Due to Covid and other local health issues, it was decided to cancel the meeting completely.

“The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 19, and Ms Kenmure has noted that date.”
