An NHS Highland manager is expected to attend a Sutherland community council meeting next week when she will be asked to address concerns over Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge, and the Minor Injuries Unit at Golspie's Lawson Memorial Hospital.
NHS Highland north area manager Kate Kenmure has accepted an invitation to attend Creich Community Council meeting next Tuesday, March 22.
Community councillors across Sutherland are becoming increasingly concerned about the continuing closure of the Strathy ward at Migdale Hospital.
A promised consultation exercise over the future of the 22-bed cottage hospital has yet to take place despite promises from NHS Highland that it would take place by the end of last year.
And there will also be questions over the Minor Injuries Unit which closed at the start of the pandemic and remains shut, despite similar units across the region reopening.
