Dornoch's Carnegie Whisky Cellars in running for retail award

The Carnegie Whisky Cellars has been shortlisted for this year's Scottish Independent Retail Awards.

The business, located in the Carnegie Courthouse at Dornoch, is shortlisted in the Specialist Drink Retailer of the Year category.

The outlet, which opened in June 2016, is Dornoch's only dedicated whisky shop.

The awards, run by Creative Oceanic, are now in their 11th year and recognise businesses with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement that truly embody the spirit of independent retail.

A spokesperson for the Carnegie Whisky Cellars said: "We are honoured to be included in this year's shortlist."

The awards are decided by the number of votes received. Details about how to vote can be found here.

The awards ceremony will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, in Glasgow on April 10.
