Bumper year for Gars Tractor Run with 90 drivers set to take part

It looks set to be a bumper year for the annual Gars Tractor Run which takes place this coming Saturday, July 15.

The tractor run has raised thousands for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and Macmillan Nurses.

Nearly 90 drivers have indicated they hope to take part, making it one of the biggest, if not the biggest, run since it was founded 10 years ago.

The event has raised thousands of pounds in the past decade for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) and Macmillan nurses.

The tractors will head off from Dornoch town square at 10am and from there will call in at Embo (10.30am); Rogart (11.30am); Lairg (12.30pm); Invershin Hotel (2pm); Bonar Bridge (3pm); and returning to Dornoch at 5pm.
