Come Yuletide, the path to John and Anne Duncan’s house at Victoria Road, Brora, is well trodden.
People from far and wide make a special trip just to gaze at the couple’s house and garden which blaze with multi-coloured Christmas light displays.
It is truly a wondrous sight with snowmen in the garden, an angel with a trumpet on the side of the house, Santa climbing down the walls and other festive delights.
This year the Duncans are marking the 21st anniversary of their extraordinary light display, which began after they took some lights back with them from a holiday in Florida.
It started off modestly, but after been added to year on year, now covers the entire property and garden, which are located next to the trunk road.
Mr Duncan, who runs J&D Welding, says it takes more than a week to string up the thousands of bulbs with some repair work and new bulbs usually needed.
It costs the couple around an extra £100 worth on their electricity bill.
“I do not begrudge the extra costs because it gives a bit of pleasure,” said Mr Duncan. “A lot of people come to the door and say how much they like them. We get a lot of nice comments. One woman from Newfoundland came with a bottle of wine and said thank you!”
