A836 closed in both directions after crash between motorcycle and pedestrian

The A836 road between Bonar Bridge and Lairg has been closed until further notice due to a crash earlier today.
Police were called to the incident at 11.30am on the A836 near Invershin and emergency services are in attendance at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30am on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian on the A836 near Invershin.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed in both directions between Bonar Bridge and Lairg.
“Local diversions are in place and the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
