TO celebrate their return to an 18-hole course, Golspie Golf Club played a competition for the Meumann Trophy.

Teams of gents, ladies, juniors and/or senior gents entered and stableford scores were aggregated.

The winning team comprised Alexander Macdonald, Noelle Mackay and Robert Beaton with a score of 98 points. In second place with 95 points were Alastair Macdougall, Lesley Cranna and Robert Mackay. Third with 94pts came Jamie Oliver, Judith Macleod and Phil Shanks.

A delicious buffet followed on from play to which an invitation was extended to volunteers from other clubs and the general public who turned up to help clear the course in the aftermath of the December storm.
