The North Caledonian League club have opted to pull out of this season's competition due to the impact of the coronavirus restrictions.

Golspie were missing from the preliminary round one and two draw which took place at Hampden today.

The club will not be penalised for pulling out and will still receive prize money if they had entered the first preliminary round stage.

A statement from the club said: "We are not entering due to ongoing pandemic making life increasingly difficult.

"We are managing playing in the North Caledonian League, but this would be a step too far.

"Be back next season hopefully and fortunately the SFA have allowed this move."

Highland League champions Brora Rangers will enter the first round which is scheduled to take place on Boxing Day.
