Sutherland to face Caithness in semi finals of Highlands and Islands League Cup

Sutherland will take on Caithness in the semi finals of the Highlands and Islands League Cup after thrashing Buckie 7–1 in the quarter finals.

The two teams will battle for a place in the final at Couper Park in Helmsdale on Sunday, September 5.

The winner will face the victors of the Inverness derby between Caley Thistle Development and Clachnacuddin in the final.

Sutherland made it through to the semi finals after thrashing Buckie 7–1 at Buckpool in the quarter finals held last Sunday.

Caithness advanced thanks to a 4–1 victory against Orkney in Thurso.

Brora Rangers were knocked out of the Highlands and Islands League Cup after losing 6–0 to Clachnacuddin at Brora Playing Fields.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Development received a bye after Nairn St Ninian forfeited the game due to being unable to raise a team.
