Sutherland thrash league champions Inverness Caledonian Thistle Development in Highlands and Islands League. Brora Rangers score first goals of season despite defeat

Sutherland thrashed champions Inverness Caledonian Thistle Development 6–0 to keep their Highlands and Islands League title challenge on track.

Trisha Macrae opened the scoring after six minutes, with goal machine Tracey Montgomery grabbing the first of her four goals after 19 minutes.

She grabbed her second goal on the half hour mark with Megan Mackay making it 4–0 60 seconds later.

Montgomery made it 5–0 in the 65th minute before completing the rout with 10 minutes remaining to bring her total for the season to 26.

The win takes them above Clachnacuddin on goal difference in second place.

Buckie Ladies remain top of the table by three points as they defeated Nairn St Ninian 5–1.

Meanwhile Brora Rangers scored their first goals of the season, but are still looking for their first points after losing 4–3 against Kirkwall City in Orkney.
