ROGART, who savoured league and cup success last season, will miss out this time round after defeat last week to the current dominant force.
Unbeaten table-toppers Loch Fleet booked a semi-final place against Brora in January.
Calling in two substitutes, their new skip Keith Stewart’s son Iain and Locheye’s Andrew Deeth swept Murray’s Rogart aside by nine shots to one.
Brora, with Halkirk’s Bill and Roy Watson, were every bit as impressive in dumping out Locheye’s Tony Watson 7-1.
The other semi-final will be between Locheye’s second skip Allan Mackenzie and the North Highland Curling Trust first skip Hugh Mackay.
Mackenzie gave up a single to Dornoch’s Stuart Gardiner in end one then dominated the next five ends to go through 7-1.
Alan Munro (Ross/Sutherland Young Farmers) had no answer to the two four-end counts from the experienced Ross-shire curler Hugh Mackay, as the Young Farmers went under 10-3.
