Pony Club season starts again
Pony Club season starts again

April 1st saw members of the Sutherland branch of the Pony Club saddle up and start their 2012 riding season with a four mile pleasure ride at Loch Fleet.

All ages and abilities took part and everyone said how much they enjoyed it.

The ride went through woodland tracks before turning on to a strip of shore, at which point the sun decided to shine and the birds began to sing. The underfoot conditions were perfect and there was a couple of low branches to give a challenge to those on larger horses.

After the ride everyone enjoyed the picnic they had taken, before members went hunting (on foot) for hidden Easter eggs in the wood.

This gentle introduction will hopefully lead to a very active season for both members and friends of the club.
