The addition of former Nairn County players Steven MacKay and David Hind, with the promise of more players to follow, has signalled Brora’s intention of aiming high for next season.

MacKay, whose former clubs include Ross County and Elgin City, told the Northern Times: “It’s a new challenge for me, and something I want to be part of. I’m really looking forward to it.

“The club wants to progress through the league and break into the top five.”

MacKay’s first match for his new club will be against his former club Ross County at Dudgeon Park on Wednesday, July 4.

Brora have been handed a tough start to the new campaign.

Their first league match of the season will be against champions Forres Mechanics at Mosset Park on Saturday, August 4.

Their first home match is against runners-up Cove Rangers the following Saturday.
