BRORA Rangers suffered their second 6-0 defeat in a week when they brushed aside by fellow Highland League side Buckie Thistle at Dudgeon Park last Saturday.

The visitors threatened in the first minute when Sean McCarthy was forced to make a fine save from a Donnie Munro volley.

Brora defender Stuart Golabek made a desperate goal-line clearance from Lewis MacKinnon in the sixth minute as the visitors continued to pile forward.

Buckie inevitably took the lead in the 10th minute when Munro got on the end of Zander Sutherland cross to head home the opener.

Sutherland doubled the advantage seven minutes later when he curled a shot in off the inside of the post.

It got worse for Brora a minute later when Sutherland made it 3-0 when he crashed home a Scott Davidson cross.

Brora steadied the ship for a while and their first effort on target arrived in the 20th minute but Gary Kerr’s header failed to test Buckie keeper Kevin Main.

However, Buckie were out of sight in the 53rd minute when Hamish Munro headed in a Martin Charlesworth delivery.

A Daniel MacKay own-goal added to Brora’s misery three minutes later, and Hamish Munro rounded off the scoring with a well-taken strike in the 71st minute.
