Milne enjoys trophy triumph

SIXTY-EIGHT members of the Ross and Sutherland Seniors Golf Society competed for the Ackie Robertson Trophy at Tain Golf Club on Wednesday, 10th September.
The winner was Hamish Milne (Muir of Ord), on a better inward half from J. A. Cameron.
The results were:
Category 1: 1 H. Milne (Muir of Ord GC) 36 pts (BIH); 2 J. A. Cameron (Tain) 36; 3 D. Macleod (Strathpeffer) 34.
Category 2: 1 J. Bradley (Tain) 35 pts, 2 M. Rodgers (Strathpeffer) 33; 3 M. Anderson (Tain) 31 pts (BIH).
Category 3: 1 J. McLeod (Bonar Bridge/Ardgay) 36 pts; 2 S. Harmon (Strathpeffer) 33; 3 G Kelman (Tain) 32.
The next outing will be to Golspie Golf Club on Wednesday, 1st October, when the County Cup will be played. The AGM and prizegiving will also be held on that day.
