BRORA Rangers boss Craig Campbell says every trophy they are in contention for is important to them after reaching the North of Scotland Cup final with a 4–1 semi final victory at Lossiemouth.

The Cattachs will face Clachnacuddin in the final of the competition at a date and venue which had yet to be confirmed at the time of going to press.

Brora Rangers lost the North of Scotland Cup final against Rothes last season and Campbell says his squad don’t want to experience that losing feeling again.

“Every trophy is important for us.

“Last season we had the disappointment of losing in the final and at the end of the season we won the Highland League Cup.

“We know both feelings of disappointment of losing as well as winning finals.”

At Lossiemouth, Brora led through a Tom Kelly strike but Liam Archibald’s third goal of the season for Lossie levelled things up ten minutes after half time.

The visitors had brought on striker Jordan MacRae as a substitute minutes earlier and he proved to be the cup hero.

He went on to score a hat trick including two late goals to finally take the game beyond the battling Coasters.

Campbell was delighted with the performance on Wednesday night.

He said it was a good reaction to their 2–1 Highland League defeat at Formartine United at North Lodge Park last Saturday.

“We passed the ball about a lot better than we did against Formartine United,” he said.

“Albeit we could have taken another couple of chances. Lossiemouth had chances to equalise but we defended well. “But it is all about winning semi finals. Lossiemouth are organised fit and make you work hard to get a result.

“They made it a close tie until later on in the game. But we are delighted to reach a cup final.”

Clachnacuddin stunned Rothes 4–1 at Mackessack Park to reach the final.

Campbell says he is not surprised they will face Clach in the final, saying they are a talented young side.

“I wouldn’t say we are surprised we are facing Clachnacuddin in the final, as on their day any team can beat anyone in the Highland League if they perform to the levels they are capable of.

“Clach are going about their business, they have not had good results in the league but they have good players and are well organised and play good football.”

Brora Rangers return to action tomorrow as they face Deveronvale at Dudgeon Park. Max Ewan is the only injury concern.
