ANGLERS from Loch Brora Angling Club were fishing for compliments as they showed off their newly refurbished boat shed. The club received a £4000 funding boost from the Kilbraur Windfarm Community Benefit Trust towards renovating an old stable to use as a boat and gear store.

Club treasurer Bert Kennedy said: "The new store is a fantastic addition to the club.

"It is only 60 yards to the boat moorings and means that we can now carry out repairs to boats inside and so not get wet!

"We’d like to thank the community benefit trust for their donation and also the landowner for very kindly letting us have the use of the building."

The community benefit trust administers the annual funding received from Kilbraur wind farm which is owned by Falck Renewables Wind Ltd and has been operating since 2008.

Applications for funding from community groups

are considered every three months.
