Lairg Rovers were knocked out of the Highland Amateur Cup when they suffered a 5–0 defeat to Pentland United in Castletown.

Andy Mackay opened the scoring after five minutes.

Three minutes later it got worse for the visitors, when James Murray knocked the ball in after a great delivery from Colin Maclean.

Cameron Montgomery extended the lead on 62 minutes and Michael Steven nodded the ball in at close range on 67 minutes after connecting with an inswinging corner. Maclean rounded off the scoring two minutes later when he was played through on goal and slotted home.
