Interim manager Stuart Golabek says it's up to Brora Rangers who they want as boss
STUART Golabek says it is up to Brora Rangers who they want to appoint as their permanent manager.
The interim manager played down talks of getting the job officially, despite guiding the Cattachs to an 8–0 win over Forres Mechanics last weekend.
Golabek was appointed in temporary charge of Brora after former manager Craig Campbell resigned earlier this month.
Golabek says it is up to the board at Dudgeon Park who they want as their permanent manager.
He says former Caley Thistle player Josh Meekings could also be a contender for the position.
Speaking about his own chances: "To be honest, it's on a short-term basis for me at the moment, just helping out of the club.
"It's up to the club to decide where they want to go.
"They have good people here in terms of myself, Josh Meekings and Davie Kirkwood.
"Josh is very keen to cut his teeth in management and coaching and that'd be the next step for him.
"At the moment I'm on an interim, short-term basis and we'll see what happens."
Since Golabek took over, Brora Rangers have scored 14 goals in their last two matches, beating Keith 6–1 in his first match in charge as well as the 8-0 win at Mosset Park.
Golabek says he has been pleased with his team's ruthlessness in front of goal, but is careful to strike a balance.
"Brora have always been an attack-minded side, we are just trying to get a balance between defence and attack because we throw a lot forward and you've got to be careful sometimes.
"But we had a nice balance in terms of when to attack and when not to.
"We had a lot of possession and at half-time we wanted to score more goals, which we did."
"Most important was keeping a clean sheet but we wanted to score a few goals as well and we did that.
"We've scored 14 goals in two games and one conceded so we are in a good position and a nice place in the league."
