GOLSPIE Stafford suffered heartbreak in the Highland Amateur Cup quarter finals when they were knocked out on penalties by High Ormlie Hotspur.

The game was level at 3-3 after extra time before the Halkirk club held their nerve in the penalty shootout.

High Ormlie will face Wick Groats in the semi finals after they defeated IRN Security 4–0 at Ardersier.

In the other quarter finals, Ness defeated Avoch 2–1 and will face Pentland United who defeated Stromness Athletic 5-3 in Orkney.

High Ormlie Hotspur v Wick Groats (3pm at Back Park, Castletown)

Ness v Pentland United (Venue to be confirmed)

Ties to be played Saturday, August 6
