Helmsdale darts player Nicky Denoon celebrates victory on Scottish Darts Association Men's Tour at Bannockburn as well as Kenny Mackenzie Memorial Cup in Inverness

HELMSDALE darts player Nicky Denoon claimed victory at the Scottish Darts Association Men's Tour competition at Bannockburn.

Denoon claimed victory by defeating Davie Kirwan from Kilsyth 6–5 in the final.

On his way to the title, he defeated Arbroath’s Martin Coull 6–4 in the semi final.

Denoon, who also plays for the Highland county side, put paid to his county team-mate Sandy Morrison from East End Arrows, in the quarter final.

It was a memorable week for Denoon, who also won the Kenny Mackenzie Memorial Cup in Inverness.

In the first semi-final he took out Colin Fraser 2–1 to set up a final against Seaforth Club’s Jim McNair who he beat 2–1.

Denoon plays for Portland A in the Inverness Darts League.
