Golspie Sutherland kick off tomorrow.

Golspie will be looking to regain the league championship crown after failing to defend their title last season when they finished a disappointing fourth place, seven points off champions Invergordon.

They will be looking to get their campaign off to a winning start when they take on Fort William, who were the first team to be relegated from the Highland League since the North Caledonian League entered the Scottish football pyramid.

At present, Golspie Sutherland and Fort William are the only two teams in the North Caledonian League who hold full SFA membership, which means they are eligible for promotion to the Highland League.

If either team wins the division, they would go into the play-offs against the bottom team of the Highland League and possibly the winners of the North Junior Super League and Midlands League if those clubs hold full SFA membership.

A total of 13 teams have entered the North Caledonian League this season.

Bonar Bridge are the other Sutherland team in the division, but they will not start their campaign until Saturday, August 27, when they head to face Nairn County A.

Clachnacuddin A have also entered the competition this season and they start with a city derby against Inverness Athletic at North Kessock.

Alness United face champions Invergordon in a Ross-shire derby.

St Duthus welcome Halkirk United to Grant Park in Tain.

In Fortrose, Loch Ness will start their campaign against Orkney at King George V Park.
