Stafford claimed the title for the first time in 10 years as goals from Robbie Murray, Shaun Urquhart and a Gary Pullen double gave them victory at Couper Park.

They clinched the league title with three matches to spare and are set to receive the trophy on Saturday in their home clash against Lochbroom.

However, Golspie Stafford had to come from behind to clinch victory after Helmsdale United went in front after 15 minutes.

Danny Doogan put the hosts in front after he was the first to the rebound after Kevin Cairns' shot hit the post.

But Stafford stormed back in the second half when Robbie Murray fired a low shot past Cameron Yuill.

The visitors were then awarded a penalty when Alexander Mackay was brought down in the box.

Pullen kept his composure from the spot to fire Stafford into the lead.

Urquhart put daylight between the two teams with 15 minutes remaining to make it 3-1. Pullen then killed the game off with two minutes remaining to secure Stafford the title.
