GOLSPIE Stafford will look to progress to the quarter finals of the Highland Amateur Cup when they take on Carloway on Saturday.

Due to ferry times, the match has been switched to a neutral venue at Ullapool High School with a kick-off at 11am.

Golspie Stafford remain the only team from Sutherland left in the competition.

No team from Sutherland has ever won the competition, although Stafford reached the final in 2010, losing 1-0 to Pentland United in Brora.

Manager Ewen Campbell is determined they continue their good form this season which sees them top of North West Sutherland League One.

“We are sure we will be in for a tough game as it’s always hard against island teams,” he said.

“We are playing well just now but are taking nothing for granted and taking each game at a time.”

Stafford should be back to full strength for tomorrow’s clash with captain Shaun Urquhart and Mark Mackenzie returning after missing Stafford’s win over Helmsdale United two weeks ago.

Elsewhere in the Highland Amateur Cup last 16, Ross-shire outfit Inver travel to Clachnacuddin Reserves.

Holders High Ormlie Hotspurs will face Lerwick Spurs in Kirkwall with Wick Groats welcoming Fortrose and Rosemarkie Union to Upper Bignold.

Back take on Avoch in Stornoway, Harris face Lerwick Celtic in Maryburgh, Mallaig host Loch Ness and Stromness Athletic take on Staxigoe United in Orkney.
