Golspie Sutherland come from behind to run riot against Bonar Bridge in Sutherland derby

GOLSPIE Sutherland are through to the quarter finals of the North Caledonian Cup after beating Bonar Bridge 6-1 at King George V Park.
But Golspie had to come from behind as Bonar Bridge took a shock lead through Connor Ross after just two minutes.
However the hosts managed to level the game 10 minutes later when Gary Pullen equalised.
Golspie then took the lead through Steven Sutherland in the 23rd minute.
They then found themselves 4–1 up 10 minutes later when Louis Macpherson and Paul Gordon found the net to give them a three-goal advantage at half time. Robbie Sutherland scored four minutes after the break before Sam Mackay completed the rout in the 53rd minute.
Golspie Sutherland’s reward is a home tie against Halkirk United in the quarter finals on February 4.
Elsewhere in the first round, Invergordon hammered Thurso 7-0 in Caithness.
Benjamin Kelly scored a hat-trick in 48 minutes to give Invergordon a 3-0 lead.
The league champions stamped their authority scoring four goals in the space of eight minutes midway in the closing stages of the second half.
Jack Mackay, Callum Murray, Andrew Miller and Stuart Leslie all found the net.
Invergordon have been given a home draw against Inverness Athletic in the quarter finals.
Nairn County A thrashed Clachnacuddin 5–0 in Inverness.
Kieran Duffty scored twice in the first half to give them 2–0 in the first half. Duffty scored a penalty in the second half to complete his hat-trick, inbetween strikes from Ryan Moodie and Robbie Lean.
Nairn County A now face a home time in the quarter finals against Alness United.
Meanwhile, St Duthus will take on Loch Ness in Tain in the last eight.
n In the North Caledonian League, Bonar Bridge are set to face Clachnacuddin A at Migdale and Golspie Sutherland travel to Halkirk United on Saturday.
Elsewhere Alness United take on Thurso, Nairn County A face Fort William. St Duthus take on Loch Ness in Tain and champions Invergordon face Inverness Athletic.
