Goalkeeper takes up new role at Brora Rangers

BRORA Rangers goalkeeper Joe Malin has been named as the club’s new infrastructure and facility coordinator.

The 34-year-old has been appointed to the role which aims to improve the player and supporters experience at the club.

The announcement comes as Malin signed a new contract at Dudgeon Park which will keep up at the club until the end of the 2024/25 season.

In addition, Mark Nicolson has also extended his contract until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Ally Macdonald has committed his short-term future to the club, agreeing to a new one-year deal which will keep him at the club until at least next season.

Malin is marking a decade with Brora Rangers this season after joining in the club in 2013 from Ross County where he previously spent seven years.

Nicolson (34) has been at Brora Rangers since 2017 as he previously played at Ross County as well as at Elgin City.

Macdonald (34) has been at Brora Rangers for 11 years, after arriving from Huntly in 2012.

Meanwhile, Brora Rangers have yet to appoint a permanent manager at the time of going to press as Stuart Golabek remains in temporary charge.

Brora Rangers will look to get their Highland League title challenge back on track when they face champions Fraserburgh at Dudgeon Park on Saturday with kick-off at 3pm.

Leaders Brechin City face a tough clash at Nairn County, with Buckie Thistle hosting Keith at Victoria Park.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Wick Academy travel to Rothes.

Clachnacuddin head to Formartine United with Deveronvale taking on Turriff , Forres face Banks O’Dee, Huntly take on Lossiemouth and Inverurie face Strathspey.
