Gavin lives the dream

GAVIN Neill of Tain lived a dream working at the Masters Golf tournament in Augusta.

Gavin, who is deputy course manager on the New and Jubilee Courses at St Andrews Links, joined the team of greenkeepers at the world famous American course.

He says: "Ever since I was a young junior golfer watching on TV, I always dreamed of one day visiting Augusta National, so when I was selected to be one of the greenkeepers for this year’s tournament I didn’t have to think twice.

"My first impression was it was picture perfect and lived up to all expectations. It has been a very overwhelming experience."
