Catriona Scott finished strongly in the under-11 girls’ race to take second place, followed by Jessie Munro (11th), Abby Ross (25th) and Catriona Wilson (29th).

Shane Turney was in fine form to take second in the under-11 boys’ race. Nine-year-old Kenneth Patience ran superbly to finish seventh in his first race in the North League and, with good support from Struan Oliver-Jones (11th), Hamish Munro (14th) and Archie Ryder (23rd), came away with team silver.

Constance Nankivell ran with tremendous confidence to win the under-13 girls’ race and with Helen Gordon (5th), Sophie Morrison (24th) and Claire Matheson (25th) also secured a deserved team bronze.

The East Sutherland under-13 boys’ team have been virtually unbeatable this season. With Eoghann Gollan (2nd), Fraser Roach (3rd), Adam Allan (7th), Taran Squire (9th) and Fraser Mohun (20th), it was team gold again on Saturday.

Another strong performance from Catriona Gordon (4th) and excellent teamwork from Rebecca Matheson (11th), Rebekah Bryan (12th) and Sarah MacDonald (13th) resulted in a team bronze in the under-15 race for girls.

It was team gold in the equivalent race for boys as the talented East Sutherland squad all finished inside the top 10. Liam Barnsby led the way with an impressive victory, followed closely by Lewis Holmes (3rd), Angus Mohun (6th) and Ruaridh Oliver-Jones (7th).

The combined points total of Hanna Cleghorn (3rd) and Marion Gordon (5th) was enough to take the team gold in the under-17 women’s race.

Alasdair Coupar (4th), led his under-17 team of Ross Gollan (5th) and Harry Richardson (9th) to the final team gold of the day.

The senior ladies team of Julie Cleghorn (13th), Karen Reid (14th), Audrey Scott (17th) and Kate Roach (20th) exceeded all expectations by claiming a superb team bronze.
