FOOTBALL matches involving clubs from Sutherland have been called off after a serious traffic accident in the county.

The Highland League Cup semi final between Brora Rangers and Keith, as well as the North Caledonian League clash between Bonar Bridge and Thurso, have been postponed due to an accident on the A9 between Golspie and Brora.

The road is closed in both directions due to a traffic accident involving two vehicles on the A9 near Dunrobin Castle, close to Golspie around 10am.

The North Caledonian League match between Halkirk United and Alness United has also been postponed due to the accident.

However the league match between Golspie Sutherland and Loch Ness does go ahead.
