This Easter sees the first running of a three-day, four-stage youth cycling tour. Staged on open road circuits that will be completely closed off to traffic, this is the only race of its kind in the country.

The event will be based at Strathallan school in Forgandenny, Perthshire.

One hundred of the country’s best youth A boys and 50 of the top youth A & B girls will be making the journey for the event, as well as the Irish 2020 talent team.

On Friday an individual and team trial will be on the programme, followed by an 80km road race on Saturday and a 50km hilly road race on the Sunday.

Fourteen-year-old Kieran Robbins of Edderton (pictured), who is a member of East Sutherland Wheelers will be part of the North of Scotland team alongside Liam McLaughlin (Inverness), Edward Fletcher (Grantown on Spey) and Thomas Deas (Skye).

Golspie High School PE teacher Wim Chalmet of East Sutherland Wheelers will be team coach for the event.
