East Sutherland Athletics Club athletes perform well at 10k in Moray

EAST Sutherland Athletics Club athletes had an impressive performance at the Moray Road Runners 10k in Miltonduff last week.

In the men’s race, ESAC athlete Shaun Cumming (pictured) claimed second place when he finished in a time of 32 minutes and 21 seconds.

James Wilson of Moray Road Runners was the winner of the race as he came in at 31:54.

Inverness Harriers athlete Donnie Macdonald was in third place when he came in at 33:01.

EASC athletes completed the rest of the top five positions.

Blair Mackay claimed fourth place when he recorded a time of 33:04.

Finlay Murray completed the top five when he finished in a time of 33:37.

In the women’s race, Muir of Ord teenager Caitlyn Heggie claimed victory in a time of 36:38.

Gemma Cormack of Moray Road Runners was in second place 38:08.

Helen Leigh from Highland Hill Runners was third in 38:31.
