Logan Ross will remain a Brora Rangers player until the end of the season, it has been confirmed.

The Cattachs goalkeeper signed a short-term loan deal from Ross County in August, seeing Ross return to Dudgeon Park after spending the second half of last season at the club.

That deal had been due to expire this month, but the Staggies have announced that Ross will stay with Brora until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Ross will now finally have the chance to get his hands on a first piece of silverware, with the Highland League Cup final being postponed.

He had joined Brora after their triumph in the same competition last season, and was at risk of missing out once again after December's final was delayed due to inclement weather conditions.

It will be a busy spell in the league for the Cattachs, too, also as a result of call-offs in the first half of the campaign.

Ross is not the only Ross County youngster who will be staying in the Highland League for the rest of the season.

Andrew Macleod and George Robesten have seen their deals at Nairn County extended, and Zach Macphee will remain at Clachnacuddin until the end of the campaign as well.

On top of that, County have confirmed that Connall Ewan – on loan at League Two outfit Elgin City – will stay at Borough Briggs until the summer.

"It is great that the boys will be spending the second half of the season back out on loan following on from a successful first half of the season," County loan manager and head of professional academy Carl Tremarco said.

"It's another step for them in their development and we wish them all the best at their respective clubs."
