Sutherland Province winning curlers were in attendance in the Carnegie Hall, Clashmore, to be presented with their trophies by president Alan MacLennan (Invergordon) and his wife Joyce during a prizegiving dinner and dance evening.

The monies raised from this year’s social evening and other fund raising efforts, over £500 to date, is at the request of the Bridgeford family from Locheye, after the tragic death last year of keen curler Jean Bridgeford, to be used to promote and encourage young curlers to take up the game. The Province Fund Raising Committee thank all curlers who supported their efforts during the year and, with the sum raised, the Province will be able to book more ice for next year and subsidise the charges for new and junior curlers at a come-and-try night in Inverness.
