Brora Rangers will compete in the Premier Sports Cup next season

Highland League Champions Brora Rangers will compete in the Premier Sports Cup next season.

The competition otherwise known as the League Cup, will see the Cattachs among 40 other clubs, compete in the group stages of the tournament.

The 40 teams will be drawn into eight groups of five on a seeded and regionalised basis.

Details of the seeding pots will be confirmed ahead of the draw.

The eight group winners and three best runners-up will join European qualifiers Rangers, Celtic, Hibernian, Aberdeen and St Johnstone in the last 16 of the competition.

Lowland League champions Kelty Hearts and runners-up East Kilbride are also taking part in the competition.

The competition begins on Saturday, July 10.
