Brora Rangers scheduled Highland League derby against Wick Academy today has been called off after a morning pitch inspection at Dudgeon Park.

It completes a double disappointment for far north football fans over the festive period as last Tuesday's planned fixture between the teams at Harmsworth Park also fell victim to the weather.

New dates will have to be found for both matches later in the season.

Two other Highland League matches are due to go ahead today – Buckie Thistle v Deveronvale and Clachnacuddin v Nairn County.

Fixtures for Saturday, January 7 – Highland League: Brora Rangers v Keith; Deveronvale v Fraserburgh; Formartine United v Lossiemouth; Forres Mechanics v Strathspey Thistle; Huntly v Turriff United; Inverurie Locos v Clachnacuddin; Nairn County v Banks O' Dee; Rothes v Brechin City; Wick Academy v Buckie Thistle.

North Caledonian League fixtures: Bonar Bridge v Orkney; Fort William v Alness United; Golspie Sutherland v Thurso (1pm); Halkirk United v Nairn County "A" (1pm); Invergordon v St Duthus; Inverness Athletic v Loch Ness.
