Brora Rangers have confirmed that they will vote against the proposed Conference League next week.

The Cattachs would have been one of the three Highland League teams in a position to move into the proposed new fifth tier, sitting between the Highland and Lowland League and the SPFL pyramid.

However, last night a meeting was held with supporters to garner opinions that would inform the Cattachs board's vote at the AGM next week.

This morning, Brora confirmed that after speaking to fans, they intend to vote against the proposal.

"The Brora Rangers board of directors have determined that we will vote against the SFA proposal at the AGM next week," their statement read.

"The unanimous decision was made after the well-attended supporters meeting last night.

"We are forward thinking in our approach to new ideas to develop the game, but we feel this proposal falls short and is unfair to many member clubs and their supporters."
