Brora Rangers have signed former Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Alex Cooper.

The Cattachs have signed the 31-year-old left-back on a two-year deal at Dudgeon Park.

Cooper returns to Scotland after playing with Gefle in Sweden.

Cooper played for Ross County between 2011 and 2014 before moving on to Falkirk, St Mirren, East Fife and Cheltenham Town.

He then signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the 2017/18 season before moving to Fresno, Sligo Rovers and Queen of the South.

Manager Ally MacDonald says Cooper had several very good options and is delighted to capture his signature.

He said: "We are delighted get Alex signed up for the club.

"We know how Alex conducts himself and we feel he will be a tremendous addition to the squad. Players of his calibre don’t become available often, so I am delighted he chose Brora."
