Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle goalkeeper Danny Gillan signed for the club after impressing in recent games for the Cattachs.

Former Ross County youth player Ross Hardie has also signed up at Dudgeon Park after doing enough to convince the club to offer him a contract this summer.

Brora Rangers warmed up for the new Highland League season as they held Inverness Caledonian Thistle Under-18’s to a 0-0 draw at Canal Park in Inverness last weekend.

The Cattachs will have to wait until Wednesday, August 16 to play their first home match in the league due to improvements that are being made at Dudgeon Park.

Brora play their first three league matches away from home this season starting against Nairn County at Station Park tomorrow.

Brora then travel to Mackessack Park to face Rothes on August 5 before heading to champions Brechin City on August 12.

The Cattachs’ first match of the new league campaign at Dudgeon Park will be against Strathspey Thistle on Wednesday, August 16.

Manager Ally MacDonald is looking forward to the new season and hopes that it will be a successful campaign.

Speaking about adding to the squad, he said previously that he is looking to have a squad which is capable of challenging for the Highland League title.

“The market for us is pretty small and it is hard to get players at the level we need them to be at if we are to continue to challenge, which is obviously what we want to do.

“But we’re on the look-out and have made a couple of approaches for players that we think could benefit us in terms of quality and making the squad a bit stronger.”
