HIGHLAND League champions Brora Rangers have been knocked out of the SPFL Trust Trophy after defeat to Aberdeen B at Dudgeon Park.

Michael Ruth scored the winning goal midway through the second half which was enough to give the colts victory in Sutherland.

Both teams had chances in the first half and Aberdeen were reduced to 10 men midway through the second half when Finn Yeats was sent off for a high challenge.

But the Dons took the lead and managed to hold on to book their place in the second round.
