BRORA Rangers put in a respectable performance against Championship outfit Dundee in their second League Cup group stage match.

But early first half goals were enough to give Dundee victory.

Dundee broke the deadlock in the ninth minute when Graham Dorrans was teed up by Danny Mullen to fire into the net.

Mullen doubled Dundee's advantage midway through the first half when he connected with Max Anderson's pass to score.

Dundee created a number of chances to increase their lead in the second half but Brora's defence did well to keep the deficit to two.
