Brora couple succeed in contest for blind charity

The Carters topped 41 points to win by three points from Peter and Mandy Lee of Royal Dornoch and Nairn Dunbar. A point further back with 37 points came local husband and wife Robert and Dawn Powell.

Novelty prize winners were John and Lesley Beaney (Brora) for nearest to the pin in two shots at the 7th hole.

Closest to the pin on the 18th green were Ann Robertson (Brora) and John Alderson (Brora).

Partially blind golfer David Paterson (Inverness) took part in the event and presented the winners with the trophy.
