Both Sutherland teams will enjoy home advantage as they both look to improve their campaigns from last season.

Golspie kick-off their new campaign when they take on Invergordon at King George V Park on Saturday at 2pm.

Golspie suffered a disappointing campaign by their own standards last season when they finished in sixth place and 20 points behind champions Loch Ness.

The club, who are the second most successful team in the competition’s history with 11 titles, will be looking to mount a serious title challenge under manager Mark McKernie.

Bonar Bridge, who are under the new management team of Bobby Breen, Robbie Breen and Tommy McClenaghan, will kick off their new season against Fort William at Migdale.

Bonar Bridge suffered a disastrous campaign last season, losing 23 of their 24 league matches and recording just one win to finish rock bottom.

Elsewhere in the North Caledonian League tomorrow, Halkirk United clash with Thurso in the Caithness derby at Morrison Park.

Clachnacuddin A face St Duthus at a change of venue at Evanton and Alness United are scheduled to take on Inverness Athletic at Dalmore Park.

Champions Loch Ness will be playing in the Scottish Cup for at Luncarty in the preliminary round.
