The aspiring musicians from Dornoch Firth Campus joined performers from the Scottish Ensemble and MishMash Productions as part of an initiative to find new ways to introduce young people to music after the last two years of Covid lockdowns and disrupted education.

The Dornoch pupils' music teacher, Mrs Chris Rzuchowska, said: "The Scottish Ensemble players told the young people about their own lives using objects from their homes as well as performing a wide variety of music from different genres and countries.

"The was followed by a performance on a Kandinsky-inspired stage, which rotated around at the same time as playing – even the Double Bass joined in the fun!

"Lights, colour, sound and action all led to an action-packed trip enjoyed by pupils and Katrin, our Ukrainian volunteer pupil support worker."
